There is no food that can prevent cancer; however the perfect combination of food can help preventing it. Prefer a balance diet of 75% of plant based food and not more than 25% of animal based protein.
1. Colored foods are rich in nutrients. These foods can help in many ways, as they help maintain perfect shape. Incorporate dark green, orange and red vegetable in your daily diet.
2. Folic acid is a part of vitamin B that can shield you against colon, rectal and breast cancer. You can find in plenty in some food source like orange, melons etc. Other food includes eggs, beans, seeds of sunflower, and leafy vegetables like spinach. Avoid taking folate from pills as much as possible.
3. Cutting down processed meat like hot dogs, bologna will help you reducing the risk of stomach and colo-rectal cancer. Also avoiding preserved food by salting or smoking can potentially keeps you away from cancer causing chemicals.
4. The coloring chemical of tomato called lycopene is also found good against cancer. It can also be taken in the form of juice, puree, sauce, etc.
5. Green tea would also be good cancer fighter. Laboratory study done on various cancer cell line like colon, liver, breast, and prostate had shown promising effect.
6. Purple and red grapes, contain resveratrol, a strong antioxidant that can prevent a kind of cancer triggered by the damaged cells.
7. Limiting alcohol itself is a good remedy to prevent cancer associated with it. Women are more vulnerable and have risk of getting breast cancer.
