How good is YOGA for health

Practicing yoga does not have an age limit or age barrier as such. It's not just for people who can touch their toes or want to meditate. Yoga is one of the best ways to work on your flexibility and strength.

At any level of yoga, you'll probably start to notice benefits at an early stage. In one study, people were able to improve their flexibility by up to 35% after only 8 weeks of yoga.

Strike a Pose for Strength:
Some styles of yoga, such as ashtanga and power yoga are very physical and require vigorous movements of hands and legs. Practicing one of these styles will help you improve muscle tone. When done right in a proper manner, nearly all poses build core strength from within in the deep abdominal muscles.

Better Posture from Yoga:
Your posture gets improved when you are stronger and more flexible. Core muscles are required for muscle support and for maintaining a good posture. With a stronger core, you're more likely to sit and stand erect and tall.

Breathing Benefits:
Yoga is also highly associated with breathing and also involves paying attention to your breath. Unless you practice yoga in a heated room or exert yourself vigorously it is not typically a form of aerobic exercise.

Less Stress, More Calm:
After a course of yogic exercise, you may feel less stressed and more relaxed. Some yoga styles use meditation techniques that help calm the mind. Focusing on your breathing during yoga will help you reduce your stress levels
